Design and Build for Construction of One Additional Berth at Mtwara Port: Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) is planning to increase the capacity of Mtwara port to cater for the expected increase in traffic following the development of Mtwara Corridor and the ongoing exploration activities for gas and oil in the Indian Ocean, traffic is projected to increase to 28 million tons by 2030. To cater for the expected traffic of gas and oil related cargo and ships in future, the project will involve Design and Construction of One Additional 3,000DWT Multifunctional Berth, configured with relevant support infrastructures. The total cost of the project is about 588.12 million USD.
