According to the requirements of Pingtan-Xinzhu Railway and Ferry Terminal Project, two berths for railway ferry are proposed to be constructed, occupying 602m of the length of the shoreline. The design handling capacity consists of 26 pairs of trains per day, 438,000 vehicles per year and 11,990,000 person times per year. The total investment of the project is CNY 1.4 billion.
